Sometimes when I am feeling down or linely I like to write Nobody Letters. That is, a letter to someone you don't know. I write it, let them know that I am thinking about them, and then place it somewhere for someone, or no one to find. (i.e. a book in a library or on a table in a coffee shop.) I have never received a Nobody Letter but I imagine it may make someone smile, or at the least give them something to read for a minute. Here is an example of a Nobody Letter:
     Dear You,
I am glad this letter has found you. I hope your day is going well and that you are doing better than yesterday. I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you, even though I have no idea who you are. Please smile, it helps the days get better, even the really good and really crappy ones.
     Love,
           Me

So this week, should you find yourself feeling lonely or that no one is thinking of you, think of someone else, no one in particular, and write to them.

You know how most bathrooms have those really nice, large stalls at the end that are meant for handicapped people? Yeah, we all know them, they have the nice little hand bar that you can hang your stuff on and when you sit to pee you don't feel like you're in solitary confinement. There's only one small problem. They aren't meant for those without handicaps. Last Friday I was at school when the feeling hit. I excused myself from the room and walked to the nearest woman's lavatory. Inside was a girl I had seen around campus. She is in a wheel chair as usual, but what wasn't usual was she was waiting, even though most of the stalls were empty. I piddly-farted around at the sink to see what was the matter when the door to the handicapped stall opened and out walked a perfectly healthy woman. The girl then wheeled in and took her throne. I felt really bad, realizing that had I come in just a tad earlier I would have gone to the "comfy" stall, forcing the girl in the chair to wait for me.

So, my challenge this week is: Next time you're choosing your stall, pick the one that is meant for you so you don't make others wait for you, EVEN if you don't see anyone around in a wheel chair, you never know when someone will come out of the woodwork.
